Ordered a hitch, extension, ball, and pin, but the wiring kit was sold separately. What is the point of having all these sales associates if they can't help point out that you have ordered an incomplete kit?
Happy with the product, fits perfect, one person can install it, but nice to have two. I bought a hitch a week before and they sent me a curt 11372
which did not fit my Lexus is250, the correct model # is 11389, etrailer made
It easy and fast delivery.
Construction quality is great. Figment is good, placement is horrible. The hitch hangs so low it drags on every single thing driveways, parking lots, speed humps. It could have easily been mounted 3 inches higher and offered so more clearance. It needs a redesign on the actual car.
Fast shipping and easy to use website. I wish the hitch was tucked closer to the rear diffuser, but overall functions as it should. Install was fairly easy.
I don't enjoy working on cars. However... This installation was super easy with a minimal amount of tools. The free shipping was fast and well packed.
I plan to haul a jet ski or a quad to the lake.The quad and trailer weigh 1,200 pounds well within the 2000 pound recommended limit.
Used this hitch on my 2016 IS350 and it's a custom fit. Installation was exactly like the video. I needed a way to haul my mountain bike with my car and now I can leave the old truck at home!

Really good
Very good build quality, fitment and installation instructions. I’m happy there is a hitch mount option for my 2017 IS300 awd F sport. The hitch fits extremely low, with my bicycle rack installed and my 48 1/2 pound Specialized Turbo on it I have to be very careful where I drive. Installation was extremely easy, had to do two small cuts on each heat shield and bend a very small part to sit the hitch in place. I folded the heat shield back over the hitch. The mufflers end lowered by the thickness of the hitch metal, 5-6mm I guess but it is noticeable. The most difficult part of the job was reinstalling the plastic cover that goes over the charcoal canister. It does fit back in place without modifications but it requires some wrestling to get it back in place. Went for a bike ride after the installation, happy times ahead.

After a year of use I’d like to add that the hitch needs redesign. I had it modified because the hitch hangs too low and dragged getting in and out of driveways all over the place. The fabrication shop cut 1 14”, it is now flush with the car underside and it has been a significant improvement. It still drags on the ground on certain situations but not like before. I called Curt to share my experience but they wanted to hear nothing. Shame because I have had Curt hitch mounts on my vehicles well over 20 years and have them on 4 of our current vehicles. I would not recommend buying this rack for your Lexus IS until it is redesigned.

First, be careful when ordering. There is a drop down menu for convertible and sedan that I missed - the mounting brackets are slightly different and are not interchangeable. etrailer was gracious enough to split the return shipping when I reordered the correct one. Use WD-40 on the exhaust hangars to remove the rubber bushings. Once the exhaust is out of the way, have a pair of tin snips to trim the heat shields. It is much easier with the shields off. It is only six bolts, with the the hitch sandwiched between the frame and exhaust hanger brackets. Simple to install, took me under 30 minutes once I had the correct receiver. Note: I have an air compressor, impact wrench, and torque wrench which makes things fast and simple. The right tools are a savior. It is also helpful to have a second person hold the receiver in place while you guide the first two bolts in, I hand tightened all of them, followed up with a quick impact wrench to tighten and then the torque wrench to finish to 79 ft. lbs. Curt’s lighting system was easy as well, the most difficult part there was running the hot wire all the way up the underside of the car to the battery. Other than that, it’s plug and play using existing holes and bushings in the body. Lexus has a plastic tub under the trunk with deep holes in it, good place to stash the 4-pin when not in use, fold it up and stick it in, the uncoiled tension holds it in. Use a piece of duct tape for added assurance. I’ve made two four hour trips and the wire stays put without the tape.

I am sorry that the harness was missed. Sometimes a mistake happens like this from time to time, but it doesnt make it less frustrating for you! Looks like youd need part # C56142 I will look into this for you. Be on the lookout for an email!
